Lays Foundation for Future Network Access Control Services STERLING, Va., May 23 /-- NeuStar, Inc., a provider of essential clearinghouse services to the communications and Internet industry, announced today that it has completed the integration of the MetaInfo Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) with its Managed Internal Domain Name Systems (DNS) service. This follows NeuStar's acquisition of the assets of MetaInfo in January of this year. NeuStar's DHCP is also at the core of the MetaInfo, industry-leading, Secure Addressing Framework Extensions for DHCP (SAFE DHCPTM), an extensive architecture for network access control (NAC). NeuStar will integrate SAFE within its Managed Internal DNS/DHCP Service, providing customers with a cost- effective and easy-to-use method for enforcing security policies. Whereas most competing DNS/DHCP solutions use the Internet Software Consortium (ISC) open source DHCP and ISC's Berkeley Internet Name Domain (BIND) for DNS, both NeuStar's DHCP, and its Managed Internal DNS Service are proprietary. Consequently, NeuStar's Managed Internal DNS/DHCP Service brings customers new levels of security and flexibility.
