Sedo’s recent focus has been on integrating Great Domains into their system and getting high-profile domain auctions off the ground. Domainers on the forums are grumbling that their bids were not accepted, and that auctions have been canceled after the high bidder won the domain. One disgruntled domainer in that situation complained “we get an email first from Great Domains saying the auction was invalid and the next day one from Sedo in Germany saying ‘thanks for initiating the payment’.” In cases like this canceling the auction really was the best decision for all involved. Sedo reported that their August auction “saw increased participation with even more bidders from more than 35 different countries around the globe.” Sedo should get the kinks out soon, but take care in the Great Domains auctions until they are running more smoothly. Sedo remains the best parking service for ‘one-click landers’. If you are getting traffic but few clicks, try your domains at Sedo.
